One Amazing Night 2020

Ailyn Pérez and Joshua Guerrero - In Recital

At the Balboa Theatre

An audience favorite each year, this season’s One Amazing Night brings us two dazzling artists at the peak of their careers, soprano Ailyn Pérez and tenor Joshua Guerrero in a recital with a Spanish theme. You won’t want to miss this remarkable evening.

As Opera News observes, “The phrase ‘an embarrassment of riches’ might have been invented to describe the combination of talents that belong to Ailyn Pérez, … who truly seems to have it all.” In demand at the world’s leading opera houses and cultural capitals, she has performed at La Scala, Royal Opera Covent Garden, the Met, and many more.

Proclaimed a “gifted young tenor” by The New York Times and an “up-and-coming matinee idol“ by Opera Today, Grammy award winner Joshua Guerrero is a member of the Bel Canto Trio and has appeared at Los Angeles Opera, Washington National Opera, Houston Grand Opera, and Canadian Opera Company, among others.

Held in the intimate and historic Balboa Theatre, recently named one of the “World’s Most Spectacular Theatres” by CNN Travel.
