To ensure the success of Ghosts, and allow us to continue commissioning new, innovative works, we ask you to consider making a gift to San Diego Opera.
Certain people in our lives leave a lasting impression on our hearts and inspire us with their actions. For all of us at San Diego Opera, one of these people was certainly Nic Reveles.
As SDO’s Director of Education and Community Engagement, Nic devised innovative education programs for children and adults, making opera more accessible during his much-loved lectures and talks. Lovingly called the “Animateur of the San Diego Opera,” Nic took time before each opera to illustrate what the audience members were about to experience since his involvement began in 1977.
Many of you may know that Nic had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and sadly lost his battle in late February, 2023. You can read more on Nic’s life and career in the official obituary from The San Diego Union-Tribune.
This April, we are producing the world premiere of Ghosts, three one-act, horror-inspired operas composed by Nic. It’s only fitting that we honor Nic and his contributions to the field of opera with this premiere, now.
If Nic has touched your life in any way, we hope you will help us bring Ghosts to life by supporting its premiere.
To ensure the success of Ghosts, and allow us to continue commissioning new, innovative works, we ask you to consider making a gift here. We look forward to seeing you at the world premiere this spring.
