Rafael Payare conducts the San Diego Symphony in this dramatic program that features Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto with violinist Daniel Lozakovich and the Act 1 of Wagner’s Die Walküre, a collaborative presentation by San Diego Opera and the San Diego Symphony in celebration of 20 years of partnership. The first Act of Die Walküre will be semi-staged with props and projections, evoking the endless forest of Wagner’s opera.
