The best way to engage with the Opera is to experience a performance! But there are so many other ways to go deeper.
Our Learning and Engagement programs bring lifelong learning opportunities to our community, whether you are nine years old — or 99.
Children and Youth
- If you’re a teacher, bring your students to our free Student Night at the Opera!
- Consider Words & Music, our in-school residency program that helps kids tell their own stories through music.
Families and Community Members
- Parents, tell your child’s teachers about these exciting opportunities.
- Attend one of our Community Concerts. Or bring another concert into existence by inviting us to perform for your neighborhood or community group!
- Lift a glass with us and delve into the fascinating stories behind upcoming operas at Opera Uncorked!
- Attend one of our Master Classes and watch a master artist coach a rising singer.
At the Opera
- Attend a pre-opera talk at the San Diego Civic Theatre. You might find that knowing a few extra details makes the performance even more compelling.
- On Saturdays and Sundays, stay after for a talk-back with members of the cast and staff.
