Soprano Angelina Réaux is a noted interpreter of Kurt Weill and Leonard Bernstein and is renowned for her operatic roles and symphony orchestra appearances. She made her New York Philharmonic debut singing Weill’s The Seven Deadly Sins, and her one-woman Kurt Weill show, Stranger Here Myself, was first produced at the New York Shakespeare Festival.
She sang in Leonard Bernstein’s Jeremiah Symphony at the Vienna Konzerthaus; and for the Chicago Opera Theater’s 25th season she conceived, directed, and participated in the premiere of a new theatrical piece, There Is a Garden: A Bernstein Celebration. Her discography includes Weill’s opera Street Scene, Marc Blitzstein’s Regina, and La bohème, conducted by Leonard Bernstein.
