San Diego Opera Safety Protocols

At the heart of our reopening plan is the safety and well-being of our audience, artists and staff. In compliance with current safety requirements of the State of California and the venues where we perform, San Diego Opera will require proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of attending live indoor performances. Additionally, masks will be required for all audience members while inside all of our venues, except while eating and drinking in designated areas.

Our collective safety requires all of us to work together. Before arriving to any in-person San Diego Opera performance, please perform a self-assessment. If you are feeling unwell or showing any symptoms of COVID-19, do not attend the performance. Our Patron Services Team will be happy to help you exchange your tickets for another time.

Your health and well-being is important to us. We will continue to post regular updates on our website, social media channels, and to communicate via email. If you have questions of your own, our main office can be reached at (619) 232-7636 or by email at
